Viktoriia Chernykova-Berezdetska kam im Jahr 2022 aus der Ukraine nach Deutschland. In ihrem Heimatland hat sie an der Nationalen Universität Charkiw (benannt nach Vasyl Karazin) einen Abschluss in Journalismus gemacht. Sie arbeitete als Journalistin, Nachrichtenredakteurin und Radiomoderatorin. Während der Besetzung von Charkiw gründete sie ihren eigenen Radio-Podcast, um über die Geschehnisse in der Stadt an der Front zu berichten.
