زباله‌های پلاستیکی برلین به‌زودی به شهر والدورن (Walldürn) که حدود ۶۰۰ کیلومتر با پایتخت فاصله دارد، فرستاده می‌شوند. به گفته روزنامه برلینر تسایتونگ، دلیل این مسئله انجام بازیافت‌های بیشتر و بهتر است. در شهر والدورن سیستم بازیافت بزرگتری با هزینه ۱۷۰ میلیون یورو تاسیس شده است. زباله‌های پلاستیکی که در سطل‌های زردرنگ ریخته می‌شوند، تاکنون در مالزدورف (Mahlsdorf) بازیافت می‌شدند. این منطقه در ۱۵۰ کیلومتری برلین قرار دارد.
