„Amal ist wie eine klassische deutsche Lokalzeitung \u2013 nur eben auf Arabisch, Persisch und Ukrainisch“, sagen wir oft, wenn wir Au\u00dfenstehenden erkl\u00e4ren, was wir eigentlich machen. Um die Zukunft der Lokalzeitung ging es am Mittwoch, 19. Juni, bei einer Anh\u00f6rung im Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus<\/a>. Mit dabei: Khalid Al Aboud<\/a>, Redakteur in der arabischen Redaktion von Amal, Berlin! Die anderen G\u00e4ste: Lorenz Maroldt, Chefredakteur vom Tagesspiegel. Steffen Grimberg, Vorsitzender vom Deutschen Journalistenverband Berlin, David Biesinger, Chefredakteur vom Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg.<\/p>\n

Alle Befragten waren sich einig, dass die Lokalberichterstattung wichtig ist, aber die traditionellen Gesch\u00e4ftsmodelle hier nicht mehr greifen. Diskutiert wurden die \u00c4nderung des Gemeinn\u00fctzigkeitsrechts und F\u00f6rdermodelle wie zum Beispiel in Wien, aber auch die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Audio- und Videoformate durch die Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb).<\/p>\n

Sie erkl\u00e4rten den Abgeordneten, wie die Berichterstattung aus den Bezirken funktioniert und wie schwierig es ist, in einer gro\u00dfen Stadt neben den gro\u00dfen Themen auch die kleine Nachbarschaft nicht aus dem Blick zu verlieren. F\u00fcr Amal ist die Lage da nochmal anders. „Unser Bezirk ist nicht durch Geografie definiert“, erkl\u00e4rte Khalid Al Aboud den Politiker:innen. „Unser Bezirk ist durch die Sprache definiert. In meinem Fall ist es das arabisch sprechende Berlin.“ Khalid Al Aboud rief die Politiker:innen dazu auf, diesen Bezirk nicht aus den Augen zu verlieren \u2013 insbesondere nicht im Kontext der anstehenden Wahlen. „Redet mit uns“, sagte er und verwies auf die wachsende Zahl von W\u00e4hlerstimmen von Berliner:innen, die jetzt eingeb\u00fcrgert sind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
